Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions our customers ask most often about the vacuum tungsten wire sintering furnace.
What is the difference between a horizontal tube furnace and a box furnace?
A horizontal tube furnace uses a tube chamber and is better for vacuum, gas flow and controlled atmosphere experiments. A box furnace usually provides a larger chamber but is less suitable for sealed atmosphere or continuous gas reaction processes.
How do I choose between 1200°C, 1400°C and 1600°C models?
The model should be selected according to your continuous working temperature. If your process is around 1100°C, choose the 1200°C series. For 1300°C operation, choose the 1400°C series. For high-temperature processes around 1500°C, choose the 1600°C series.
Can the furnace be used under vacuum?
Yes. The furnace can be supplied with sealing flanges, vacuum pump and vacuum pressure gauge. Standard vacuum can reach -0.1MPa. A molecular pump unit can be selected when higher vacuum level is required.
Can I use nitrogen or argon atmosphere?
Yes. Nitrogen, argon and other process gases can be introduced through the sealing flange and gas inlet system. Float flowmeters or mass flow controllers are available for gas flow control.
Is hydrogen atmosphere available?
Hydrogen atmosphere can be considered for suitable processes, but additional safety design is required. Please inform us of the hydrogen concentration, flow rate, exhaust method and local safety requirements before quotation.
Can the heating zone and tube diameter be customized?
Yes. Standard heating zones are 300mm and 450mm, and standard tube outer diameters include 40mm, 60mm, 80mm, 100mm and 120mm. Other sizes can be customized according to sample and process requirements.
What information should I provide before requesting a quotation?
Please provide required maximum temperature, working temperature, tube diameter, heating zone length, sample size, atmosphere type, vacuum level, gas flow requirement, power supply and destination country. This helps us recommend a suitable configuration.
